Ο δεύτερος ολοκληρωμένος δίσκος από τους Hardraw, φτάνει μετά από 12 χρόνια από την κυκλοφορία του πρώτου. Βαπτισμένος "Abyss of Mankind", θα κυκλοφορήσει από την δισκογραφική εταιρεία Pitch Black Records στις 5 Απριλίου, ανήμερα της εμφάνισης τους στο Open the Gates II festival, όπου και θα τον ακούσουμε ζωντανά επί σκηνής.

Ξεκινώντας με το The Cry of Persaina, θυμίζει πολύ τα πρώτα τους κλασσικά κομμάτια. Συνεχίζοντας όμως με τα υπόλοιπα, Hunter x Hunted και Crime Reborn, ακούμε την νέα χέβι μέταλ ταυτότητα της μπάντας, με κομμάτια ανεβασμένα ένα κλικ πιο γρήγορα σε ρυθμό, όπου ήρθαν τα φωνητικά του Τζίμη να ταιριάξουν γάντι στη συνολική εικόνα. Μπάσο και ντράμς ξεχωρίζουν στο ομότιτλο Abyss of Mankind, με το The Path καπάκι να σπέρνει στα ριφφς.

Συνεχίζει με το Crimson Lake, με στοιχεία power μέταλ να δίνουν τα σημάδια τους, σαν να συνδυάζεις Crimson Glory και Manilla Road. Στο πρότελευταιο τραγούδι έχουμε το Second Coming, όπου τα φώτα είναι στραμμένα στα επικά φωνητικά. Συνολικά 8 κομμάτια αποτελούν την σύνθεση του άλμπουμ με πάνω από 40 λεπτά ακρόασης.

Στο κλείσιμο έχουμε το The Riddle Disciples, ένα κομμάτι αφιερωμένο στη μνήμη του Mark "The Shark" Shelton των MANILLA ROAD. Σε αυτόν τον φόρο τιμής στον θρύλο του χέβι μέταλ, συμμετέχουν δύο τεράστιες φωνές, ο Ιταλός Gianni Nepi (Dark Quarterer) και ο Αμερικανός Harry “The Tyrant” Conklin (Jag Panzer, Titan Force, Satan's Host, Cloven Hoof). Μαζί με τους HARDRAW, ενώνουν τις δυνάμεις τους και μας προσφέρουν ένα συνταρακτικό αφιέρωμα.

The second full-length album from Hardraw arrives 12 years after the release of their debut. Entitled "Abyss of Mankind", it will be released via Pitch Black Records on 5th of April 2024, the same day of band's appearance at Open the Gates II festival.

Starting with The Cry of Persaina, it is very reminiscent of their early classic tracks. But continuing with the rest, Hunter x Hunted and Crime Reborn, we hear the new heavy metal identity of the band, with tracks picked up a click faster in tempo, where Jimmy's vocals came to fit perfectly on the overall picture. Bass and drums stand out on the title track Abyss of Mankind, with The Path following with killing riffs.

It continues with Crimson Lake, with power metal elements leaving their mark like a blend of Crimson Glory and Manilla Road. For the penultimate song we have Second Coming, where the spotlight is on the epic vocals. A total of 8 tracks make up the album with over 40 minutes of listening time.

For closing, we have The Riddle Disciples, a track dedicated in the memory of Mark "The Shark" Shelton of MANILLA ROAD. This tribute to the heavy metal hero features two legendary voices, the Italian Gianni Nepi (Dark Quarterer) and the American Harry “The Tyrant” Conklin (Jag Panzer, Titan Force, Satan's Host, Cloven Hoof). Alongside HARDRAW, they join forces to offer us a sensational tribute.
