“Swept in Amnesia” marks the start of a new era for Abettor. Although the band itself has an incredibly distinct, cohesive sound that resonates throughout their existing catalogue of music, this EP makes a clear statement that they have evolved and matured as musicians without sacrificing their unique identity and original DNA.

The new “Swept in Amnesia” EP presents listeners with a more experimental sound featuring groovy basslines, haunting lyrics and harmonies, and peaks and valleys. This is a musical journey inspired by existentialism, fear, melancholy and addiction. At first listen, the EP comes across somewhat dark and moody, but when reading between the lines of the lyrics, hints of hope and spirituality seep through and make themselves known.

The quintet has moved away from their heavier, metal roots, still tactfully holding on to some psych metal undertones, and has embraced a more mature, post-rock sound, with intricate, transcendental guitar riffs and hints of electronica.
